Biography | Leonora Neary
Originally from Roscommon, Leonora graduated from the University of Ulster in Belfast with an honours degree in Visual Communication, one year of which was spent at the Instituto Superiore per L'Artistiche, Urbino, Italy.
She has participated in many group shows and has held a number of solo exhibitions. Her work has featured in both the RHA and RUA annual exhibitions. She has been awarded residencies at Cill Rialaig and the Tyrone Guthrie Centre.
In 2015, Leonora co-created and co-ordinated 'Of This Place', a Yeats 2015-related project that saw eight visual artists travel to and exhibit at Ateneo de Madrid and Hamilton Gallery, Sligo. This project was awarded funding from Culture Ireland, Yeats 2015, The Irish Diaspora Fund and Sligo County Council.
